Celebrate Black History Month with Barrie’s Many Black-owned Businesses and Black-led Organizations

Each February, Canadians celebrate the contributions of Black individuals on the world during Black History Month. In Barrie, that celebration encompasses history, the arts, culture, social justice and business, and often spreads into other months, as Black contributions should be celebrated year-round!
In addition to the many events and programs being hosted in Barrie for Black History Month and into the spring, our program partners at UPlift Black have compiled a list of some of the many Barrie-based Black-owned businesses and Black-led organizations to check out.
