The Summer Company program is funded by the government of Ontario and delivered by the Small Business Centre of Barrie, Simcoe County and Orillia. The program is designed to empower young entrepreneurs aged 15 to 29 by providing them with the resources and support they need to start and run their own summer businesses. Participants receive up to $3,000 in financial assistance, mentorship from experienced business professionals, and access to valuable training and networking opportunities.

With a passion that began in his youth, Charles transformed his obsession with looking and feeling good into a thriving business that serves his community. His services focus on delivering high-quality haircuts that leave clients feeling their best.

What do you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur?
I enjoy being able to start conversations with strangers, hearing their life stories, and relating to them on a personal basis.
What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about yourself through your entrepreneurial journey?
I’ve learned that starting a business as a young entrepreneur requires substantial time, energy, and attention in order for me to see the results I want.
What’s the best piece of advice you would give to another youth entrepreneur?
In three words: consistency, hard work, and trust in God to perfect your efforts.
