Culture Days is a three-week festival that celebrates arts and culture across Canada. This year, Culture Days took place from September 20 to October 13, 2024 in the City of Barrie. The celebrations were glorious and colourful, and provided community members with access to free and diverse artistic and cultural experiences.

The Summer Company program, funded by the government of Ontario and delivered by the Small Business Centre of Barrie, Simcoe County and Orillia, is designed to empower young entrepreneurs aged 15 to 29 by providing them with the resources and support they need to start and run their own summer businesses. The Barrie Arts Awards 2023 gala was held on November 14th at the MacLaren Art Centre and featured award presentations in seven categories, performances demonstrating the diverse talent in our region, and celebration of the sector. The event has played a significant role in strengthening and profiling the dynamic arts community in the city, and in engaging the business and philanthropic sectors in supporting the arts in Barrie since 2008.
