Barrie's New Holiday Inn Express Breaks Ground

On Friday, November 17, 2023, Barrie Mayor Alex Nuttall helped break ground on an exciting and crucial development that will support local tourism initiatives. Located on Bryne Drive in the city’s south end will be a new 6-floor, 100-room Holiday Inn branded hotel, adding more accommodation options for visitors to Barrie.

Invest Barrie’s fourth annual Business and Employer Data Survey is underway! Five dedicated students make up the team of Business and Employer Data Collectors this summer. These students will be visiting all businesses located in the employment and commercial areas of the city from May until August.
